SteveWillDoIt Buys Trump a $105K Rolex Presidential as a Thank You Gift

Donald Trump Rolex Gift

The NELK Boys’ “Full Send” Podcast team recently had a tremendous time interviewing the former president of the United States. They were eager to get Donald Trump’s take of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the USA’s management of the crisis from his perspective.

The interview generated 5 million views within 24 hours of posting. Unfortunately, YouTube decided that it violated their misinformation policy and removed the video without warning. We can only pin this move on the fact that Donald Trump spoke his mind about being ousted from office off the back of a rigged election. Fortunately, you can still listen to the full interview on the Full Send website, via Spotify, and the Apple Music Store.

Right at the end of the interview, SteveWillDoIt took the opportunity to present Mr. Trump with a very rare and expensive Rolex Presidential watch. The $105K Rolex was a thank you gesture for the selfie they took together months prior, which made Steve a lot of money.

Who is SteveWillDoIt and NELK?

For those of you who are not familiar with who the NELK Boys or SteveWillDoIt are, it’s probably best that we introduce you. Firstly, NELK (also known as NELK boys) is a team of Canadian YouTube content creators who are known for their pranks, giveaways, vlogs, and podcasts online.

Their lives on TikTok, Snap Chat, and Instagram are full of images of the boys enjoying life. Parties, cars, and women are all part of the image. NELK is an acronym stemming from the name of the groups founding members (Nick, Elliot, Lucas, and Kyle). The team is now made up of Kyle Forgeard, Jesse Sebastiani, SteveWillDoIt, and SalimTheDream.

They are well connected with the UFC and are good friends of Dana White, the MMA corporation’s director. In fact, it was Dana White who vouched for the NELK Boys’ interview with Trump. The former president wanted to express his views on the war without the bias of mainstream media interference. His administration had been heavily involved in keeping the peace between the two Eastern European countries in the past.

Why Would SteveWillDoIt Splurge on a Rolex Presidential?

Prior to the viral Trump podcast, SteveWillDoIt managed to wrangle a great selfie with the ex-president. He then printed the pic on a T-Shirt and managed to generate sales off the back of the shirt worth $500K. It only took a matter of hours to do so, too.

As a thank you gift, Steve bought President Trump a rare $105K Rolex Day-Date as a thank you present. But this was no standard off-the-shelf Rolex Presidential. Instead, it was one of the rarer and more expensive watch pieces in the 40mm Day-Date range.

He presented it to Donald Trump towards the end of the interview. Trump was noticeably impressed with the gift. Acknowledging that it came solely from Steve, he jokingly asked around the room where the rest of his gifts were from the remaining NELK team members.

SteveWillDoIt Goes Shopping

Steve captured his entire watch shopping experience on YouTube. He and the crew stopped by his favorite dealer, Timepiece Trading, and told the sales guys that he wasn’t looking for an ordinary timepiece for Trump. He wanted a rare Presidential Rolex. With that, the jewelers rolled out a special case with some of the rarest and most iconic Rolex Day-Date watches on the market showcased inside.

While SteveWillDoIt acknowledged that some pieces could go for as much as $40,000, he was not prepared to settle for average. Upon arriving at the store, he identified two pieces that caught his attention. A platinum Ice Blue Day-Date and a Rose Gold Chocolate Day-Date.

After a bit of haggling, Steve settled on both pieces. The Rose Gold Chocolate Watch set him back close on $70K, while the Platinum piece cost him a whopping $105,000.

So, why two watches you ask? Well, Steve wanted to honor his hero, Kyle Forgeard, who had made him the streamer he is today. He handed him the costly gift en route to the podcast session.

About the Rolex Presidential Watch

The Platinum Day-Date carries a much higher price tag than many of its counterparts because of its platinum casing and strap. While there are so many gold Rolex Presidential pieces out there, the Platinum version is known as a ‘baller’ class watch. It’s a limited edition, which is quite rare.

This particular piece boasts the wider 40mm Oyster casing. It comes with a monobloc middle case, screw-down backing, and a winding crown. The cyclops lens cover is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The entire piece ensures a water resistance of up to 100 meters / 330 feet.

The movement is a classic Rolex perpetual mechanical self-winding unit. It operates with a precision of between -2 and +2 seconds per day and claims a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The bracelet boasts semi-circular three-piece links made of pure platinum and attaches to the arm using a folding crown clasp.

Of course, as with all Rolex Presidential Day-Date models, the watch includes the day of the week at twelve o’clock with the date at 3 O’clock on the display.

Round-Up

We’re not 100% sure that Trump was truly aware of the value of the gift he received from SteveWillDoIt. Of course, he moves in billionaire circles. So, someone is bound to recognize the iconic piece on his wrist and comment on it sometime or other.

One thing we do know, is that watch connoisseurs are sure to know the value of such a timepiece. While there are other tremendous watch brands out there, Rolex remains a classic Swiss brand renowned for its durability and reliability.
