The oldest private research university in California. It has a 16% acceptance rate and a 92% graduation rate. If without aid, $65K to $85K.

6. The University of Southern California - $33K Average

A private college  focusing on science  and engineering, competing with Caltech and MIT. It has an acceptance rate of 19%.  If without aid, $80K

5. Harvey Mudd College - $33K Average

A private  university in New  York that offers liberal  arts degrees. It has a  55% acceptance rate and 73% graduation rate. If without aid, &75K.

4. Sarah Lawrence University - $36K Average

A private research university in Masachusetts, established in 1852. It has a 16% acceptance rate and 93% pass rate. If without aid - $79Ko $85K.

3. Tufts University - $37K Average

One of the foremost tertiary institutions in USA. It has a 21% acceptance rate and an 85% pass rate. If without aid ~$77.5K.

2. New York University - $40K Average

An affiliate of "The New School" and offers career in design and art. It has a 35% acceptance rate. If without aid, $47K
